Happy Halloween!

Hey–at least I got this on here before Christmas….

This past year, my exfiance and I were able to get away to go to Disney World for their Halloween party—this has been on our to-do list for years. The Magic Kingdom goes all out decorating the park and they host Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, where everyone gets dressed up and heads to the park for trick or treating, rides, shows, and special parades and fireworks. The night was awesome!

Since we were going to be in Disney for Halloween, I knew our costumes had to be Disney themed. I have wanted to make Mouseketeer costumes for years now, and this was the perfect opportunity.

I designed the logo—the original Mouseketeers had the word “Mouseketeer” under the MMC logo, but everything you see today says “Mickey Mouse Club”. Being a traditionalist, I sketched out the design, transferred it to a shirt, and painted away.

Add the name to the front—hit up goodwill for some powder blue pants and skirt (I didn’t have time to sew them—oh no!), and you’ve got two awesome costumes.
