Silly T-shirt party

A few weeks ago, my bf and I were invited to a “silly t-shirt” party, where each guest was to wear a silly t-shirt. We went to Kohls, Target, Walmart, etc, and I just couldn’t find anything that really suited me.

So I came up with this. I collect Potato Heads—-and I’m known around town for my collection (it was featured in the local library—which lead to a newspaper article, which lead to a television interview by Channel 6 Action News’ personality, Don Polec)
But anyway—here’s the shirt. A “creatively dressed” Mrs. Potato Head, that sports the phrase “Why Be Normal?”.

I freehand drew the design onto the last of my “stockpile” Rag Shop shirts (we always kept a supply of blank shirts in the house…lol), and painted it with fabric paints. When it was dry, I added glitter to a few areas for extra sparkle.

The whole shirt:

And just because I don’t think it needs its own post—here’s a neclace I made to wear to my first ever hockey game last night. I drew the Devil’s logo onto shrinky dink plastic, punched a hole in it, and shrunk away…..then I made a wire bail and hung it on a chain. Easy peasy—
